About the Foundation

Sport development with a social conscience

North West Black Ball Association is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the development and promotion of cue sports, particularly pool, within South African communities. We deliver skills development, coaching, youth and women empowerment programmes, tournaments and recreational opportunities while promoting social inclusion, healthy lifestyles and talent identification.

Our mission

To make cue sports accessible to underserved communities through structured coaching, affordable competition and mentorship that develops both players and people.

Our vision

A South Africa where every talented player, regardless of gender, income or ability has a clear pathway from a community table to a national podium.

Impact stories

From school hall to provincial colours

A 16-year-old learner who joined a Friday clinic in Mahikeng now represents the province at junior level, with school fees supported through our talent fund.

Women taking the table

Our women's league grew from a single squad to more than eighty registered players in two seasons, with three women now qualified as accredited referees.

Inclusion that lasts

Adapted venues and trained facilitators mean players with disabilities compete in the same sanctioned events as everyone else, not a separate afterthought.
